Free crochet patterns + downloads in my craft blog
Welcome to my blog! Here you will find my crochet creations with free crochet patterns, downloads and a record of my blogging progress. During 2020 I plan to create and share more free patterns for crochet, knitting and sewing. I will continue my recycling/upcycling and also try to add a few more crafts and activities.
Recent projects
My latest work is heart based. I extended my heart pattern to give three sizes of heart and used them to make charms for bags or belts. The heart patterns are here. You can see how I make the charms here. These are a very quick make and use oddments you have around. I love making them on my commute!
Before I got swept up in Valentines day I designed this blanket. You can get the free pattern here. I have produced a rainbow version that you can see here. Eventually I will list all my finished work and patterns on my Etsy store there are some items listed already.
This is a great stash busting pattern. I made a lovely green and white version of the blanket using a combination of recycled yarn and yarn from my stash. For tips on how to get your hands on cheap yarn through recycling, try reading this post.
I designed this little bag whilst on holiday in 2018. You can get the free crochet pattern here. These bags work well as stash busting projects. I always find I have yarn left over from projects and can’t resist a yarn bargain either so I always have quite a stash!
One of my most popular downloads is from this post which provides tips on pricing handmade projects. The download is a worksheet to support this method of pricing and help track project cost.
Blogging is hard!
One section of my blog outlines the steps I took to get this site up and running. There are several posts on my progress(or lack of progress!) through last year. You can read one of these here or click on Blogging in the menu above.
I am an Amazon Affiliate although I haven’t managed to make a sale at the point of typing (Feb 2020). You can see below the products that I recommend. I list these because I love them. Especially the knit pro wool needles which have transformed my crochet life!! I am also using Google AdSense on this site. If you click on the links or buy anything through my blog I may receive a small payment at no additional cost to you. This goes towards the cost of running the blog and helps me towards my dream of running this as a business one day!
I run a mailing list, although I haven’t been very good at communicating so far – please join if you would like to stay in touch. It would be lovely to receive comments if you have any feedback, questions or requests. I seem to get more spam than real contact at the moment which is a bit disheartening! If you use any of my patterns I would love to see or hear about the results. Either way – thank you for visiting and ….Enjoy!!
Annie 🙂
